What is a Lash Lift and Tint?

Lash lift is a common term for a service which chemically lifts your lashes from just above the root of your lash. The lifting process opens the eyes, gives the appearance of longer, thicker, darker lashes and has basically no maintenance required. In salon we perform lash lifts using Elleebana Lash Lift products which provides a safe chemical process, this process breaks down the disulphide bonds of the hair to redirect the lash into a new lifted style.

How long does the treatment last?

The longevity of a lift will depend on your natural lash shed, makeup and other external elements such as swimming and your skincare routine. A lash lift and tint should last between 4-12 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle. We loose up to 21 lashes per week seems like a lot doesn't it? You have around 150 lashes per eye all in different stages of life.

Lash Lifting is nourishing on the lashes so as long as you book with a qualified results driven therapist your lashes will come out looking beautiful.

How can you tell if the lashes are over processed?

Once your lashes dry they will be kinked, hard, crisscrossed
and wont have an overall nice appearance. Unfortunately you will have to wait
for your lashes to grow out or you can attend an appointment with a therapist
to have them relaxed.

Before and after care for your treatment

Before your treatment clean your face thoroughly and wear no makeup including foundation and eye makeup.

After your appointment do not get your lashes wet or apply makeup within 24 hours, this will cause them to droop. Do not sleep in mascara! Mascara stiffens lashes which can cause your lashes to break.
Forget the waterproof mascara! Waterproof mascara tends to dry out your lashes. And don't forget to use a gentle eye makeup remover – we recommend the O Cosmedics Micellar Treatment gel or Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser.
but the most important of all - Be sure not to tug or pull on the lashes.

Below is an example of two lash lifts, one is from google representing an over processed lash lift. The other is a lash lift performed in our salon by a qualified therapist.
